CONDITIONS OF SALE
When purchasing goods from MGFnTFBITZ electronically online, over the telephone or in person over the counter, you ‘the buyer’ are deemed to be in full understanding and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions as noted below:
MGFnTFBITZ are a specialist parts supplier for MGF and MG TF cars, holding 1000s of parts on the shelf ready for either collection by the customer or immediate dispatch to UK and Worldwide destinations. With the demise of MG Rover some original manufacturer parts and aftermarket parts to original specifications are still available new however many of these are now becoming obsolete and it is necessary more and more to seek alternative sources to keep these vehicles on the road. Parts offered for sale in store or online may be ‘New’, ‘New Old Stock’, ‘Remanufactured’, ‘Refurbished’ or ‘Used’. Whichever part is purchased, its corresponding description will identify its condition so you are aware prior to purchase.
Goods categories offered for sale:
’New’ denotes parts that are new original or new aftermarket and still readily available
‘New old stock’ as in unused surplus MG Longbridge parts or stock originally shipped to China and now back in the UK. Some of this stock may be lightly marked, rusted or dusty as the parts have been in storage.
‘Remanufactured’ stock. Some parts are no longer available and it is necessary to remake to original pattern sometimes in stainless steel for better preservation characteristics
‘Refurbished’ is where good condition used parts have been shot blasted / powder coated or chromed to protect or enhance its appearance
‘Used’ tested parts removed from a donor vehicle which has been stripped for spare parts and deemed fit for reuse
Prices:
We make every effort to ensure prices are up to date but we reserve the right to amend costs at any time without notice. We have no statutory obligation to sell goods at the price quoted if that price is incorrect. Quotations are valid for 30 days. Prices quoted exclude any import duties.
Payment:
We accept payment by any of the following methods only. Major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Bank transfer or Cash.
Online debit / credit card transactions are processed through Payzone. This is one of the UK’s largest payment gateways.
MGFnTFBITZ do not store, collect or have access to your card details. Cheques are no longer accepted.
We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of payment details if we think they are being used fraudulently.
Delivery:
With best endeavor we aim to process all online orders placed on a Monday to Friday before 14:00pm, the same working day for a next working day delivery. Large parcels such as bumpers will be shipped on a 48 hour service. For delivery we need your name, occupied address and mobile tel number. Failure to provide all or part will delay shipment. All parcels will need to be signed for. The courier will deliver between the hours of 9.00 am and 6.00 pm and the parcel must be signed for. Parcels will not be left without a signature, unless instructed at the time of placing the order (i.e. please leave in porch, in shed etc). In this instance, goods will be left at your own risk. In the event of a failed delivery due to no one being present at the address, it will be necessary for the customer to to contact the courier via the calling card left, to either, rearrange delivery (a further delivery cost may be levied) or collect from the courier’s local depot . The buyer shall check the contents and notify MGFnTFBITZ in the event of any shortages / part suitability or damage within 5 days.
Non Delivery:
Dates / Times for delivery are provided in good faith but are an estimate only. Events leading to non-delivery i.e. force majeure (acts of god, adverse weather, strikes and the like), courier / buyer or seller errors or no one being present to sign for the parcel, MGFnTFBITZ accept no liability or responsibility for loss of profit, charges or expenses incurred.
Returns:
‘New‘ goods only carry a 12 months warranty providing the goods have been used in the correct manner for a normal everyday vehicle. Goods used for extraordinary use namely racing, rallying, track days or stripped down / modified, will not be covered.
All other definitions ‘new old stock’ ‘remanufactured’ ‘refurbished’ or ‘used’ carry no warranty.
Goods arriving faulty can be returned for an exchange / refund once our ID tagging marks have been verified.
On occasions you may be asked to provide photo evidence rather than returning goods but this is at the discretion of MGFnTFBITZ
Goods ordered incorrectly can be returned within 30 days for a refund or exchanged minus seller postage / packing costs.
All goods should be returned packed to the same standard as when received, to avoid damage in transit & shall include the original invoice number and details of the fault.
Cancellation:
If you wish to cancel your order, please call the office immediately on 01457 238202 If you call after 2pm your parcel may already be in transit, you will then need to wait for delivery and then return the order to us at your cost for a refund less dispatch costs.
Liability:
MGFnTFBITZ endeavor to provide parts that are fit for purpose however it is the responsibility of the buyer to use the services of a suitably qualified / trained and capable technician to check the part compatibility, worthiness and suitability before and after fitting.
The seller ‘MGFnTFBITZ’ shall in no circumstances be liable to ‘the buyer’ whatsoever (including for the avoidance of doubt consequential loss, damage or injury) whether suffered by the buyer or any other party due to design / component failure, unsuitability, negligence, recommendations provided or opinions given.
Complaints:
We take the satisfaction of our customers very seriously. If you feel you have received a substandard service from MGFnTFBITZ we would like to hear about it so that we can prevent a repeat. We will make every effort to remedy genuine problems as speedily as possible. Complaints can be made either over the phone on 01457 238202 (Monday to Friday 09.00 to 16.00 hours or Sat 10.00 until 14.00 hours) or by email sales@mgfntfbitz.co.uk
