Trophy 160 Race Engine VVC.
MGF Trophy 160 VVC MEMS3 full complete engine taken from a hill climb sprint car that is seriously responsive and seriously quick and has a few medals and trophies to its name. It has nice quiet VVC mechs and less than 1000 miles ago the head was rebuilt and fettled by Adrian Wray of AW Motorsport who is a big player in K series / MG Rover motorsport world. A lower mileage replacement block was also used in the rebuild. Originally fitted with a 4-2-1 manifold and Daytona exhaust, it had a mapped ECU and a LSD gearbox all of which are available separately.
We would advise replacing the cam belt due to time frame rather than mileage just to be on the safe side. Engine complete with inlet manifold, throttle body, all sensors, full engine loom. No fault lights on dash. A seriously responsive engine which ran up to temp and switched fans on / off just fine. Nice clean water and oil. Passed our HG sniffer test.
As with all parts we sell, we are very particular with the complete engines, they need to sound well and be responsive, they are inspected on the ramp whilst running to ensure the head has no oil or water leaks. They are always run up to temperature. If we have any doubts or hesitation, it is stripped for parts and not sold complete.
